NICU Mom Instagram Contest - Removable Photo Wallpaper Giveaway
NICU ChallengesAnyone who's had a baby spend time in the NICU knows how challenging this experience can be on so many levels. My twins, Thaddeus and Zoe, pictured above, arrived two and a half months prematurely and weighed only 1 pound 14 ounces and 2 pounds 3 ounces, respectively, at birth.
The six weeks Zoe was in the NICU and the three months Thaddeus was in there were some of the most difficult times for my wife and me. Not to mention all the stress and anxiety around the oxygen tank and electronic monitor Thaddeus had to wear when he finally did come home.
Thankfully, our local NICU is phenomenal and the support of our family, friends, and neighbors made all the difference in the world for us. Today Thaddeus and Zoe are healthy and doing phenomenally well-thank God.
Here's a recent photo of me and the kiddos:
NICU Moms removable photo wallpaper Instagram contestAs I reflect back on those very challenging times, I'd like to celebrate the victories and blessings so many NICU moms and families experience once their kids finally get to come home, get healthy, and grow!
How, you ask? With Instagram, of course!
We want moms to upload a photo of their beautiful NICU fighters to show how great they're doing now that they've left the NICU. Hashtag the photo with #WeMontageNICU and follow us on Instagram at @WeMontage to be eligible to win.
The PrizeOn Tuesday, August 5th, we will randomly select three lucky moms to receive a 3 foot by 2 foot WeMontage removable photo wallpaper collage to proudly display photos of their adorable little NICU champions in the kid's room, nursery, or wherever else they'd like (a $70 value).
In my house, we put a WeMontage over the kids' crib rather than a big picture frame. Since Thaddeus likes to bang on the wall instead of taking his nap, frames over his crib are not a good idea! :-)
Here's a pic of what we did over Zoe's crib: We made that belly cast an hour before the emergency C-section.
So, there ya have it. Show us those beautiful NICU fighters on Instagram with #WeMontageNICU and I'd love to hear a bit about how the kiddos are doing now.

We are super-excited to have Alexa Bigwarfe give us a hand with this important contest.
Alexa began her blog as an attempt to work through the grief of losing her infant daughter…one of her twin daughters.
Now her blog is also about the ups and downs of parenting, raising three small children and advocating for all things related to maternal, newborn, and children's health and well being. And a few other random topics along the way!
Here's a link to her wonderful blog, "No Holding Back".
Oh, and feel free to share some stories in the comments section below.
